December 17, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
It great to hear that site menu management might make it into the next version of Wordpress. I had the chance to place some input at Wordcamp Orlando in regards to this topic. Hopefully lots of other developers would like to see this as part of the package. Lots of time is spent loading plugins to take care of Menu ordering and management.
How to win new Business? - A 5 step plan to win business
May 8, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
If you know your business, is very easy to place together a plan to get your company movingup, increase sales, win and keep your customers.
We have a Simple 5 Step plan you can follow:
1) Set up your list
2) Create an offer
3) Create and market the offer
4) Look at your results
5) Repeat
1) Put together your list
As bad as it sounds, this is not hard to do. Simply make a reason for people to provide you their email and name. This could be as easy as an opt-in box or if you have a real store a notebook on your counter with a sign to invite customers to Join your mailing list, or win a prize.
If you offer any type of service and issue invoices, make sure to take this opportunity to get that email.
You can visit aweber to set up an account, manage an email list and send out newsletters. Start building your list as a first step to take opportunity to market your product.
2) Create an offer
Once you have your list set up, offering discounts gives clients and prospect customers a reason to do business with you. The focus is to steer business your way and be competitive. Make sure the sale is private, Only available for email list clients. If your business is all about repeat customers this is a key. Stay in touch with you client base and constantly issue a reminder with an offer to give them a reason to come back. Add a time limit on email offers.
Offer a free consultation. Get their attention and interest in your service and be proactive.
3) Send out the offer
This is the time to get yourself set up. You can open an account on aweber or constant contact, and make sure you get a hosting account ready for a blog. This is an avenue you should pursue.
The emails and newletter themselves should be very simple to produce and specific. Three things that are important.
a) Have a clear message
b) Make it easy to contact and purchase the product
c) Clean graphics are the key!
Create a postcard to give out to walk in clients and an emailer to every new client that comes in your door. Make sure you add this new clients to your email list and send them and offer. Get a freelance artist in Elance.com to create the layout and set up the files for you.
4) Analyze your Results
Email and marketing is measurable. You will immediatly see an increase in visitors to your website or store. If sales are not coming back further analysis should be done to your current online interface and see why the results are not coming. If you have a good list, good offers, the right client base, and market consistently you can build you business with these steps.
5) Repeat once again
Create a routine and add it to your normal work days. Add social media marketing to your business and create new avenues of growth. The key to your business success is to be consistent, set phases to your different campaigns and track and review data of visitors and sales. Making sure marketing, online or print are a part of you program are important to growth.
